1. Are they real?
Yes, but we aren’t the DMV. You can only register our plates with your own current license number in a few cases wherein the plate is an authorized replacement plate. If you have any further questions, feel free to e-mail us and we'll do our best to answer you.

2. Are they legal?
Yes, we carefully researched all the requirements and legalities to make sure of that! We use the recommended 30 gauge metal - and create the lettering in realistic looking 3D text - since it IS illegal to use raised lettering on them! We've done our very best to check with every US State and the Canadian Provinces to try to ensure that we have complied with all laws, rules and regulations.

3. What about the font and size?
We use your state's required font in one of two different sizes - the standard state issue size for one line of characters and a smaller size for plates requiring two lines of characters. Each state uses several different fonts as well as color shades. What do you expect, they are made in prison. You think those nice young men care? Anyway, you will just say 'Wow!' when you see them. The website doesn’t do them justice. If my novelty motorcycle license plates look good to you now ... wait til you see them on your motorcycle, hog, crotch-rocket, dirt bike, ATV, moped or golf cart!

4. How long will they last?
The Mad Greek has made nearly two million custom car license plates since 1982 and sells them with a guarantee that under normal conditions, they will not show any more wear and tear than a real one would. And that same Satisfaction Guarantee applies to our new motorcycle plates too!

5. Are they made in metal?
Yes! Unlike our automobile plates, we can legally create your motorcycle CR8-APL8s out of sturdy 30 gauge metal. What we cannot legally do is use raised lettering - but we have found a way around that - by creating the characters in 3D text that looks so realistic that you will catch yourself running your fingers over the lettering to make sure they really are not raised!

6. What can I use them for?
As a cool vanity license plate - or the real thing - with up to nine characters - on either one or two lines! For a show hog, custom ride, rice rocket, dirt bike, ATV, moped or even a golf cart! Advertise your business name, phone, location. Flaunt your ego, promote your job or expose your secret desire. Or just your name is good. They make wonderful gifts and gag gifts. Imagine how cool you or your dad will feel tooling around the golf course with a CR8-APL8 golf cart plate reading HOLE N 1 - 18X A DAY decorating the back of your golf cart!
And our California blue, black and yellow plates CAN be legally used as replacement plates with a valid license number and current registration issued by the DMV - since California no longer has blanks for those three styles! So you can legally replace your old dented DMV issued blue, black or yellow plates with a brand new CR8-APL8!
